What should I put in a Catalog item first?
If the Catalog structure is already prepared, start with the facts a customer will depend on: a clear name, short summary, useful detail, and price/currency when known. Add choices, images, and notes, then attach the item to the right organization and search information.
- Keep Brief Summary easy to scan.
- Put longer detail in Content instead of overloading the name or summary.
- Double-check price, currency, and Options / Variants because these can appear directly in customer replies.
Before adding many items
Core item data
- Name: a label customers and your team can recognize easily.
- Price / Money: the known amount and currency.
- Options / Variants: sizes, types, packages, or other customer choices when applicable.
- Brief Summary: one or two lines that explain the item quickly.
- Content: extra detail customers may need before deciding.
- AI Usage Guidance / Internal Notes: internal guidance for how the AI should use the item, not a customer-facing fact.
- Customer Delivery Note: supporting context that can be used when presenting the item to a customer.
Images
Add images that genuinely help the customer understand the product or service. Catalog supports multiple images depending on the creation flow, so review the saved result and confirm the media belongs to the intended item.
After the item facts are correct
- Use a Folder when your goal is team organization inside the dashboard.
- Use Semantic Classification and Semantic Tags when you want to add meaning for natural discovery.
- Use AI Search Attributes for recurring exact facts such as Instructor, Brand, Branch, or Level.
- Use Search Name in search information when a stable machine-friendly name helps the system recognize the same entity across language or spelling differences.
Using AI Improve
AI Improve can propose Catalog changes, but it is not the source of truth for your business data. Review any proposed price, name, classification, or search information before accepting it.
