When a customer asks an AI assistant, "Can I pay in installments, and how much is each payment?", the assistant should not invent a monthly amount or promise approval. If the company's approved information does not include current financing terms, a useful answer states what is known, identifies what needs confirmation, and routes the question to an authorized team member.

A product price is not an installment offer

An Egyptian retailer may publish a cash price without publishing financing conditions. An installment plan can depend on the provider, down payment, term, fees, and customer eligibility. Storing the sentence "installments available" in a knowledge base is not enough to authorize an AI assistant to calculate an offer.

When terms are unavailable, an appropriate draft reply is: "We can help check the available installment options. The monthly amount, term and final approval need confirmation from our team." The business should approve this wording before using it with real customers.

Five facts to approve before automating answers

Accepted payment methods. Cash, bank transfer, card, and third-party installment financing are not interchangeable. Describe only the methods your business actually supports.

The reference price. Is the displayed amount a cash price? Does it differ for installment purchases? Do not infer a financing price from the product listing.

Term, deposit, and fees. Publish exact numbers only when an authorized source provides them, including the effective date and the provider responsible for the offer.

Approval boundaries. A conversational assistant should not decide credit eligibility or guarantee acceptance. Avoid requesting sensitive documents without a clear necessity and an appropriate secure process.

The human next step. Identify who confirms the final offer and what the customer can expect next. A transparent "we need to check" is better than a confident but false answer.

An example from an Egyptian electronics shop

A buyer asks whether a device can be paid for over twelve months. The store's knowledge base contains only the cash price, with no current financing table. Dividing that price by twelve and presenting the result as an approved monthly payment would be misleading.

Instead, the assistant explains the information gap and offers to pass the request to the sales or finance team. This is a hypothetical operating example, not a reported Mr. AI customer outcome or a claim that the platform independently approves financing. If the company later provides verified terms, the assistant can explain those approved terms while leaving eligibility decisions to the appropriate party.

Consumer information and privacy boundaries

Egypt's Consumer Protection Agency is a local starting point for reviewing consumer rights and disclosure obligations. Specific requirements for an installment contract should be checked against current law and the relevant financing arrangement, rather than inferred from a chatbot answer.

The WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy, updated September 23, 2026, also prohibits asking users to share complete payment card numbers, financial account numbers, or sensitive identity identifiers in WhatsApp conversations. Collect only what is needed to understand the inquiry, and direct sensitive financial steps to the business's approved channel.

Test the questions that cause expensive mistakes

Before launch, test: "What is the monthly payment?", "No down payment?", "Is approval guaranteed?", "Are all fees included?", and "Can I send my card details here?" Review each answer for approved facts, explicit uncertainty, safe handling of data, and a clear human handoff.

Measure how many inquiries receive verified terms and how many require correction. Counting automated replies alone will not tell you whether customers were informed accurately.

Where Mr. AI fits

The current Mr. AI FAQ describes replies based on company knowledge, configurable rules, conversation summaries, and human takeover. We do not claim that Mr. AI has an installment approval engine, a native lender integration, or an authorized financing calculator. Start by documenting and versioning your business terms, then test real questions with Mr. AI before using the responses publicly.
